About TONIGHT BY RALPH BURTON
In the year 1900, young Claire Newton drinks tea and solves murders in the turn-of-the-century town of Victoriaville. She has been studying for sixteen years under Arthur Spoole, the town’s greatest detective. On any typical day, they could face gangsters, cowboys or serial killers. Tonight, when a gang of monsters descends on the town, they find the threat quite different.
A travelling salesman named Felix Califax seeks Claire and Spoole’s help with a disturbing family matter but, after he leaves, Claire finds an animal pawprint on his teacup. Something sinister and bloody is about to unfold in Victoriaville, and Claire has only twenty four hours to stop it.
