Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hello! I’m Trevor Carss (call me Trev for short) and I love to write and illustrate modern children’s books. I have written over a dozen, several of which are available on Amazon today.
While recovering from multiple surgeries to restore my limited eyesight, I created these books to inspire everyone to stand out and be different.
If I’m not dreaming up the next story for my community of fans, you can find me training for triathlons, reading books (of course!) or cooking healthy meals in my beautiful hometown of Vancouver, Canada.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is a children’s love story called Two Giraffes, and it was inspired by my girlfriend. It explores the importance of overcoming fear with your loved ones.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes, I like to write and illustrate while listening to one song for hours 🙂

What are you working on now?
I have about 40 new book ideas, and I just have to choose one to start! It will most likely be a sequel to Two Giraffes.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I like getting involved with Facebook Groups, and I’ve been recently testing Amazon KDP ads.

Write about your life.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Oscar Wilde: “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
What are you reading now?
Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss.
What’s next for you as a writer?
More reading, learning, writing and drawing. I’d like to publish dozens more books for the world to enjoy.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
I would have to say the top three books on survival and Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl.
