Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am one of the founders and Co-Owners of New Legend Books & Comics. As Head Creator, my primary responsibility is to write the original rough drafts and create the characters on which the foundation of our Legends are built. I also take care of the day to day operations.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Our latest book is Sheriff Carter Link: Vanished. It was inspired mostly by mot love of country music and old school tough guys played by Clint Eastwood, Sam Elliot & Timothy Olyphant.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I wouldn’t call it unusual. A story idea can come from anyway. I write it down when it comes to me then I could spend days, months or years thinking about it. Once the outline to fleshed out, I start writing.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I am a comic book, superhero kind of guy so Stan Lee is on the top of my list.
What are you working on now?
I just finished the first draft of two different books. I am partnering with two other writers on them and hoping to have them early 2019. The First one is “Sheriff Carter Link: Death of Lily May” and the other is “Agent 12: Awakening”
We also have several Children’s books that we are working on. Some of which I have written and some of which I am just doing Creative Editing on.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
We have been using Amazon, Facebook, Goodreads & Awesome Gang.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t give up. Hang in there and believe in your work.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I don’t remember where I heard it but it goes something like this “Make your dream obtainable to you.” Meaning, don’t dream to be something that you don’t have the ability to be. If you can’t sing, don’t dream of being a Rock Star.
What are you reading now?
Our stuff mostly. I have a lot on my plate.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Right now we have two novels and three children’s book to finish up, so that will be my life for the next few months.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Bible, some comics & a survival guide.
