Author Bio:
Mark is from a small city just east of Los Angeles where he grew up listening to heavy metal and reading Stephen King novels and short stories. He still lives not far from there with his wife, two children, and three cats. After graduating with a BA in Sociology from Brown University, he spent seven years boxing and fighting Mixed Martial Arts.
When Mark’s not writing you can find him doing yoga and jiu-jitsu with his family or sitting for over one hundred hours of tattoos. Lately he has also been teaching himself guitar, bass, and German as a way to help his brain recover from TBI’s after years of fighting and neck injuries.
Mark lists Chuck Palahniuk and Stephen King as the authors who most influence his own writing. He attests that attending Tom Spanbauer’s Dangerous Writing workshop marked the turning point in his career.
