About Two Solstices by Annika Baldini
Anita Weitzmann is a 26-year-old Canadian journalist, recently separated from a nagging husband and working as a lifestyle writer for one of Vancouver’s most prestigious newspapers. Her life is full of professional and social commitments, and right now all she wants is to be promoted to editor-in-chief. But when she is sent to the Northwest Territories to report on Canada’s First Nations, things change. The wilderness of Nahanni National Park and immersion in a social reality so different from her own will give her an unexpected and upsetting perspective. Between the summer and winter solstices, Anita will understand what she really wants, even if it seems completely out of reach.

Who is Annika Baldini?
Interesting question. Certainly she's someone who knows Asperger syndrome very well: the reason, at the moment, remains unclear. She describes herself as "writer, researcher, experimenter, explorer with a crazy passion for London and supercars", and actually she combines the pleasure of writing with research, which ranges from within herself to the edges of the universe. Since her childhood she has been a book and comic lover, she watches a LOT of sci-fi (definitely a trekker) and she's totally fond of MM stories.
