About Unseen Scars Workbook: A Self-Help Guide to Heal from Emotional Neglect, Gaslighting and Narcissistic Abuse by Stephanie Roese
If you’ve ever been told you were “too sensitive,” made to question your memory, or felt like your pain didn’t count—Unseen Scars was written for you.
This trauma-informed workbook helps survivors of emotional neglect, gaslighting, and narcissistic abuse understand what happened, why it hurt, and how to begin healing. It’s not clinical. It’s not fluffy. It’s clear, validating, and grounded in real-world healing tools used in C-PTSD and inner child recovery work.
Inside you’ll find boundary-setting scripts, reflection prompts, emotional check-in exercises, and relatable examples of toxic dynamics—from silent treatment to blame-shifting to guilt-flipping. The language is empowering but gentle—meant to help you finally stop internalizing what was never yours to carry.
You don’t have to read it in order. You don’t have to rush. This book meets you where you are—and offers something no one ever gave you during the abuse: a voice, a mirror, and a way forward.
📥 Bonus: Includes a link to free printable PDF worksheets to accompany each chapter, so you can continue the healing work offline or by hand.

Author Bio:
Stephanie Roese is a trauma-informed writer, deeply empathic thinker, and survivor of emotional neglect, gaslighting, and complex PTSD. Her healing journey didn’t begin in a therapist’s office—it began in the quiet moments of self-reflection, through chronic fatigue, lost friendships, and the unshakable feeling that something “just wasn’t right.”
After decades of therapy and a lifetime of searching for answers, Stephanie began to piece together the roots of her pain—and discovered that what looked like a “normal” childhood was laced with emotional abuse and deep neglect. What followed was a long, imperfect road of self-reclamation.
Unseen Scars is the workbook she wishes she had years ago—an offering of validation, insight, and empowerment for anyone walking through similar darkness.
She lives with seven beloved cats (plus the occasional foster), has never married, and continues to rediscover what it means to live a conscious, passion-filled life—on her own terms.
She is looking to build a community of like-minded people. Should you wish to connect to the author, just email her at: stephanie@unseenscars.vip. *Please, no solitications.*
