About Unthinkable
Have you ever found yourself in an unthinkable story? One you never asked to be a part of? Like me, I’m sure you have a story or two. How have you handled the journey through this unthinkable situation? Have you traded your pain, suffering, and heartache for freedom and purpose? Or do you find yourself stuck in the moment, replaying the event over over and over? When I found myself in that hopeless place, I discovered there was a hand reaching down to me, like a lifeline, inviting me into something more. The invitation was an exchange of ashes for beauty; it was freedom from suffering; and it was a relationship with a person of peace. That hand was Jesus’ reaching down for me.
In “Unthinkable” I share my deeply personal story of tragedy and the miraculous transformation that followed. In this book, you will learn to:
*Surrender your pain for purpose
*Walk through heartache with Jesus by your side
*Exchange your suffering for healing
*Gain God’s vision for your story
*Equip yourself to be part of a bigger story.
Only Jesus can transform our deepest sorrows into a life of abundance, beauty and freedom.
Quotes from Unthinkable
“We had to get out of their way, so I went into the bathroom in the hallway that was close to his room. It was a single bathroom—it was just me and a mirror, and for the first time in a long time I cried out to God for help. I felt a desperation that I had never known in my life. Tears streaming down my face, I stared into the mirror and heard the Holy Spirit say, “Heather, this is about you coming back to me.” It stopped me dead in my tracks. I was stunned. The God I believed in and knew as a little girl was right there with me. He had never left me, even though I was living my life without Him.”
“There is no one who has suffered more than Jesus. Not only did He suffer unimaginable physical pain, but He also bore the weight of mankind’s sin! He died a horrible death for you and me. Moved by His love for us and desire to see us set free, He went to the cross. We can’t even comprehend that. If we are going to identify with and be made like Jesus, then surely God will work through our pain and suffering too. And like Jesus, we have an opportunity to be “resurrected” as well.”
“If we stay stuck in the loss and pain, then it’s all for nothing—the enemy wins. But I don’t want that to be your last chapter. I want you to overcome and lay it all down before Jesus so you can help others find their freedom in him. There is so much suffering and pain in the world. So much loss, deception, and hurt. But we know this doesn’t have to be their story. We have a part to play, a piece of the puzzle for them. Let your loss be the treasure someone else gets to pick up. Let your story be the loaves and fishes that Jesus does a miracle with to feed others.”
