Published Author with McGraw-Hill as (Val Gee), Valerie Gorick was born in Manchester, England and moved to Chicago with her family in 1983. She became an American citizen soon after. Although her experience as an immigrant is not typical…since she does speak almost the same language, it is still challenging to move to a new country and learn new rules and regulations.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
You Married A What? And now I have a Muslim in the house…was inspired by my daughter marrying an Egyptian muslim and subsequently coming to live with my hubby and I.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I often wake up around 2:00 am with a sentence in my head and I have to get up and start writing.
