Author Bio:
Born in Pocatello, Idaho, Wes Davis grew up in the Pacific Northwest. He spent over 40 years in Las Vegas, Nevada. He relocated to Gresham, Oregon, in 2021 to be near family. “It took me a while to adjust to the changes, especially the weather. But I love it up here; the change of seasons is much different from what the desert offers. It is also a great place to write.
VENDETTA is my second novel. When I am asked why I used my hometown as the hometown of the main character, Barrett Oleson, You are always told to “write about what you know.” In many ways, Barrett and I are similar. I majored in Theater at Idaho State University, as did Barrett. The difference is that when I was offered a job in New York, I turned it down. So this is my road not taken, a look at what may have happened.

It is a work of fiction. No character is solely based on any one person. In many ways, my characters are an amalgam of people that I have known or met over my lifetime. Some of the locations are real, and others are made up. The story revolves around Barrett Oleson, a famous actor who grew up in Pocatello and then went to New York. He was successful there and then went to Hollywood. In the process, he helps apprehend a predator and testifies against him. Years later, he finds that the saying “No Good Deed Goes Unpunished” can be true.
