Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am in my early twenties. I love to watch movies, listen to music, and read books. I am also in school studying to be a screenwriter and a director. I have one published book and many in the works.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my book is, Play the Game. I saw a couple break-up while I was on my way to school one day and the story spiraled from there.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I don’t know if it’s unusual but I write mostly at night. I also listen to music when I write because it helps me focus.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The book that made me want to become a writer was Esperanza Rising. Some authors that have influenced me are Suzanne Collins, Ally Condie, and Nicholas Sparks.
What are you working on now?
I am working on a couple different projects at this moment. The first is Vision of Pain which is about Chrissie, a female detective who has visions and the sequel to Play the Game.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
The best method that I use to promote my book as of now is Twitter and Facebook. They help me reach a lot of potential readers.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I think the best advice that I have for new authors is to follow their instinct when writing and trust that readers will come along.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I ever heard is if there is a book you want to read but you can’t find, write it.
What are you reading now?
I just started reading Escape by David Antocci.
What’s next for you as a writer?
The next thing for me as a writer is just continuing to write books, sharing the stories that I have with the world and sharing the things that I have learned while writing and becoming an author.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
It is extremely hard to choose but if I had to I think I would bring the first book of the Hunger Games, Maverick by Julianna Stone, and two books that I have never read before.
