Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a new self published author, qualified artist/Illustrator and Primary School Teacher based in the West Midlands in the UK. I am already reaching new heights in my writing career having recently achieved number #1 Best Selling Children’s Free ebook author in September 2019.

‘How To Shape My World’ A rhyming story about a small hedgehog and his first days at school and is centred around kindness.
‘Hugo’s Adventure’ A rhyming tale about a small adventurous mouse on a quest to find out what he wants to be when he grows up.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is called ‘Hugo’s Adventure’ and I was inspired to write it by my young nephew who is such a little adventurer! He always wants to explore and it got me thinking about what he will grow up to be when he is older. The book explores who Hugo wants to be when he grows up.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I keep a notepad by my bed so I can write down any flashes of inspiration during the night. I always have the best ideas in the middle of the night.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Definately Quentin Blake illustrations and Beatrix Potter books.
What are you working on now?
It’s a secret haha
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
At the moment, word of mouth
..as i share my books directly with children in my school.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Try not to be too dictatorial when writing with a moral purpose. I wish I had known this sooner…I would have written some past work very differently.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Every day is a new chance to start again.” That way I can have renewed enthusiasm in everything I do each day instead of dwelling on things that don’t go very well.

What’s next for you as a writer?
Comedy…and lot’s of it, I want to make people smile by writing funny rhyming stories.
