Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Vinay Kallat (1985-still alive) was born in India, Mumbai, to a South Indian parents. He is the author of Mysterious Greenfield Woods: A Romantic Murder Mystery and Finding An Indian Bride: A Memoir on Arranged Marriage. How apart the two books might feel, they are actually linked.
For past ten years he is working as a software engineer in a bank. After working for almost ten years and writing for almost a decade, he realized that he was not born for a 9 to 5 job. He wanted to be a writer. The thrill when he released his first book still remains deep in his heart. He thought that would be the end of his writing and was all set to go back to his 9 to 5 job, but there was something that was calling him to write. He realized he could not stop writing. No matter what he would do in his life, one thing is for sure he would keep escaping into this mysterious world and keep writing. He does not want to write about something that is already there.
Have you heard about “Virgin thought”. A thought that has never crossed anyone’s mind. Is it possible? He wants to write something that no one has ever thought off. Would he be successful in writing such a story. Keep tuned in with his writing and find out for yourself. If you still have a doubt, don’t forget to check his books and decide for yourself.

What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Finding An Indian Bride is inspired by real events that took place in my life. It all started on my 24th birthday, when my mother realized that her youngest son had all grown up and was ready for an arranged marriage. It depicts all the awkward moments that I was put through in the process of meeting the girl’s family.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Just that I like to talk to the readers directly and which I quote within the round brackets. (Hope you guys do not have the habit of peeing while taking a bath right. At least don’t do it while you’r girlfriend is with you in the shower.)
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Authors:
Dan Brown ; It gave me different ideas to kill my bosses (Angels and Daemons)
Chetan Bhagat: Five point someone as it was relatable and he likes to keep it simple.
What are you working on now?
I am working on the Sequel for Finding An Indian Bride (You guessed it right! Still finding or rather hunting. )
Also working on a book with nine realms and their politics and the last book that I am mid way is of four friends liking the same girl and having their own perception about her.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
This(https://awesomegang.com/author-interview/) is the first website I am trying. Hope it works out well.
Well other modes of advertisement is Kindles free book promotion.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
It needs awful amount of hard work and dedication to survive the big tides and disappointment.
Luck does play an important role, but do not wait for god to do something, who knows god must be waiting for you to do something. I always felt writing good books is enough, its just half the battle won. Promoting, Socializing, reacting is equally important.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Don’t give up. It takes ten years to become a famous writer why give it up in two years and two books.
What are you reading now?
Half Girlfriend : Chetan Bhagat
What’s next for you as a writer?
To write something that does nobody has thought of yet. A virgin thought.
Something that might not be too long but precise.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Angels and Daemons
The Great Gasy
The chronicles of Narnia as I have not yet read this series.
