Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve written four novels. Two science fiction and two mystery/thrillers.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
THE WORLD OF ERGANNA is directly inspired by the classic science fiction of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Edmond Hamilton and Leigh Brackett. It is dedicated to the memory of those three writers, in fact.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not so much a habit, but I did once have the unusual experience of co-writing a book with my younger self. I completed the first draft of THE GODDESS OF STRIFE in 1991 when I was in college. Then I put it in a box until 2012 when I dusted it off and revised it. So I essentially co-wrote that novel with my college-age self!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I’ve already mentioned Edgar Rice Burroughs, Edmond Hamilton and Leigh Brackett. Also I have to mention Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Fredric Brown, Henry Kuttner, C. L. Moore and Arthur Conan Doyle.
What are you working on now?
Right now, I just started the third LINCOLN CONFIDENTIAL mystery/thriller, entitled THE ELYSIAN FIELDS.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Let’s see how this one works out. I have high hopes!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Make sure your book is truly ready before you release it to the public – but, at the same time, don’t endlessly revise it forever, either!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” – Wayne Gretzky
What are you reading now?
I’m on a pulp kick right now. I can’t get enough of WEIRD TALES.
What’s next for you as a writer?
After I finish THE ELYSIAN FIELDS, it’s sci-fi time again as I do a sequel to THE WORLD OF ERGANNA. I’ll probably be alternating between mystery/thrillers and sci-fi for the foreseeable future.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Holy Bible (KJV)
The Best of Edmond Hamilton
A Case of Conscience by James Blish
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert Heinlein

Why would to take the Holy Bible ? you know the ending!
W. T. Keeton says
True, but I know how every book on that list ends! I mean, if we’re talking taking only four books to a desert island, who would ever take a book that they hadn’t already read at least once? I would have have only those four books for the foreseeable future, so the risk of blindly choosing something not terrible is too great! That’s not a time for any unproven commodity!
