Author Bio:
In college I planned to become a teacher, and studied the subject I wanted to teach, the French language, not education. Returning to the classroom after a hiatus of several years, I discovered a disconnect between educational theory and students’ needs, so began reading about the education of children, which revealed to me just how vast the education world is. Eventually no longer teaching, freed from classroom tensions, I contemplated what I was learning. With time to explore and with deliberation, I learned more about the nature of education than I had while teaching. What I learned is the basis for my journal.
