Brandon Smith is a professional educator who has now worked in classrooms for over a decade and taught all grade levels. He is also a historical researcher and writer for looking for stories forgotten or in need of being told, especially for young people.
Besides working in education, he is also a talent and well trained graphic designer and illustrator to which he uses to help clients and design his own materials.
Smith started writing while investigating the local history of his community. While researching through newspaper archives he uncovered a forgotten community connection to President John F. Kennedy having pardoned the turkey, one of the last events of his time in office, of a local business that was just down the street from where his ancestors once lived. He felt the story needed to be told and shared with people of other generations resulting in one of his first books.
