Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an author, blogger, and mom to the best kid ever. On the days that are not hectic (which is hardly ever) I spend my time writing what I can, as I have always been imaginative making up stories, and friends ever since I was younger.
I grew up in Southern California, and on top of being and author, blogger and mom, I also love to watch movies, read excessively, going to hockey and baseball games, and relaxing with just my friends and family.
I have several books out in different genres. The Taken Series is a 3 part series of dark romance, then there’s Fate, which is a short Adult romance, and my most recent release Counting Goodbyes, which is a young adult romance.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Counting Goodbyes was written on a whim when my daughter asked me to write a book she could read. It was inspired by her, but the story itself was written for every teenagers struggle in life.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I tend to jump from Book to book while writing. I always have several books going at once, and when I get stuck I move onto another story to give me time to think about the others.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I love so many, but I guess my biggest influence is AJ Lape and AM Jensen. Both write so beautifully and AM Jensen has definitely been a great friend along the way, too.
What are you working on now?
I am working on two stories that are like nothing I’ve written before. One is a paranormal young adult romance about beauty and he beast with a twist. The other is a secret baby adult romance.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I use Facebook most due to the fact I know how to use it best.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I’m still learning my way, but my advice is to keep pushing even when you feel like giving up. Use your good and bad reviews to push you forward to become a better writer.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Bad reviews are what help you fix mistakes.
What are you reading now?
I am reading the Fire and Ice series by Rhonda James and so far I love it.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am looking forward into diving into stories with more depth. I’d like to write a book with issues that don’t come up often in books. Characters that have issues that don’t make them your typical heroin.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
TM Frazier’s King series, And AJ Lape Darcy Walker series.
