Author Bio:
Karen E Iverson was born in NYC and learned how to “show not tell” in high school. She further developed her writing skills at the University of New Hampshire and then attained 2 master’s degrees in education from Columbia University Teachers College and in clinical mental health counseling from Northeastern State University.
In 2019, Karen published her first book, Winning the Breast Cancer Battle: Empowering Warriors and Guiding Loved Ones, for which she received the “Difference Maker Award” at the inaugural Author Advantage Live conference. This was followed by the Companion Journal. Both books are based on her breast cancer experience and offer tips sections for the patient and the loved ones.
In 2024, Karen published her third book, Winning the Mental Health Battle: from Struggling to Thriving – 7 Tips to Navigate Anxiety, Depression, and Mania.
All of her books shed light on the topics and give glimpses into Karen’s personal experiences.
Other exploits have included holding art exhibits, participating in circuses, and attaining her IMDb credit. Karen is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor, coach, public speaker, actress, singer, and artist residing in Oklahoma. She is currently pursuing additional certifications in Pet-Assisted Therapy and Equine Therapy.
