Interview With Author Wolfie Louise
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a gothic storyteller drawn to the shadows where beauty meets brutality. A lifelong lover of true crime and forensic psychology, I write dark psychological thrillers that explore obsession, morality, and the fragile line between love and madness.
My debut novel, Hunter’s Veil, combines noir atmosphere with seductive tension perfect for readers who crave thrillers that cut deep. When im not writing, l can be found studying forensic psychology at university or haunting old bookshops with coffee strong enough to wake the dead.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
I’ve always been fascinated by what drives people to cross the line between love and obsession. Studying forensic psychology made me wonder how easily attraction can turn into fixation and how both can destroy. Hunter’s Veil grew from that curiosity: a story where desire becomes a crime scene, and morality is as blurred as the rain soaked streets it’s set in.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write at 12am and 3pm and edit in the day I find my best work is early hours of the morning.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
True crime and watching interrogation videos studying crime and people.
What are you working on now?
Hunted veil seconds book is in the works at the moment, it’s going to be a trilogy.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Amazon!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t delay! Get the pen and paper and give it a go!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Write what keeps you awake at night.”
Darkness, obsession, guilt those are the things that linger, and that’s where the truth hides. If it scares you or fascinates you, it’s probably worth writing about.
What are you reading now?
Girl with the dragon tattoo series! Love it!
What’s next for you as a writer?
My trilogy!
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Gone girl, girl in the box, lovely bones, the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime. And my favourite Hannibal.
