Author Bio:
As an avid weight trainer, rock climber, and mountain biker, John Abdo is a former Olympic Weightlifter who competed for over twelve years. He has also served as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for numerous Olympian and professional athletes for the sports of Olympic Weightlifting, Wrestling, Mixed Martial Arts, Powerlifting, and Speed Skating, to name some. From 1985-1997, John was the executive producer and host of The Weight Room, a weekly television series which explored the principles athletes and coaches instituted to enhance performance and recover from their exertions. John has authored numerous books, some of which include his USA TODAY bestseller Wolves of Croton: The Untold Story of Milo, as well as Body Engineering, Make Your Body a Fat-Burning Machine, Vital Living From the Inside Out, and Ultimate Sexual Health & Performance. His articles have been published in National Strength & Conditioning Association Journal, Muscle & Fitness, Iron Online, Planet Muscle, and Men’s Health. John has also received multiple accreditations from the prestigious International Sports Sciences Association, and in 2007, was inducted into the National Health & Fitness Hall of Fame.
