Author Bio:
Mike Dubisch has illustrated countless books, comics, magazines and games over a thirty year career. Specializing in science fiction, horror, and fantasy, Dubisch’s art is known worldwide for its eerie atmosphere and exquisite drawing that seem to have evolved in an earlier age. A major contributor to Tabletop roll playing game systems such as advanced dungeons and dragons Robert Jordan’s the wheel of Time, the DC universe, and Star Wars.
Mike has published two prose collections, The Earthlings, and Gothic Nightmares, and is also the author /illustrator of the graphic novels The Crypt kid, Weirdling, and the short story collection the Wet nurse and other tales. Working with author Phil Mucci, Dubisch illustrates the supernatural epic, the adventures of Professor Dario Bava.
Currently, Mike Dubisch is the illustrator for Forbidden Futures magazine, contributes to Heavy Metal magazine, and continues to illustrate for tabletop role-playing games and collectible card games. Mike is married to children’s book illustrator Carolyn Watson Dubisch with whom he has three children. Their award winning YA collaboration, The People That Melt In The Rain, has been entertaining readers of all ages for fifteen years. Mike Dubisch has been an instructor at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco since 2012.
