About Eco Bastards and Other Assassins
Caryanne Beaumont has no idea how much trouble she is in, and what she doesn’t know could kill her.
Two years ago, she and her best friend Travis were set to ship out to Colombia with the Peace Corps, but Caryanne got engaged and stayed home. Travis went on alone, unaware that shortly after he left one devastating event blew up her entire world. Just as she finally put the pieces of her life back in place, trouble returns and her reality is turned inside out.
Travis is now on the run from eco-terrorists with evidence of multiple murders they’ve committed. The assassins insert themselves in Caryanne’s life under various disguises, waiting and watching for Travis to reconnect with her. Soon, in over her head, Caryanne becomes involved in a steamy love triangle in which no one is who they seem to be.
Meanwhile, disillusioned FBI Agent Frank Ford wrestles with the Interpol case involving the murders. After crucial evidence is destroyed, he suspects the agency has been infiltrated. He grudgingly investigates both crimes, fearing what he may discover.
As they all work toward finding the truth, more lives are endangered. Will they find the courage to do what they believe is right? Will they find answers in time to save themselves?
***Note to the submission team – This novel would be similar to books written by Liane Moriarty, Gillian Flynn, or Lucey Foley. In other words, it is NOT gory, preachy, or too frightening. It has been described as a page turner, a romance, and an homage to the police procedural.
